Help purchase a new rescue boat while honoring or remembering a loved one, a special occasion, a first responder or yourself.
Help purchase a new rescue boat while honoring or remembering a loved one, a special occasion, a first responder or yourself.
The current rescue boat, a 2008 Kenner (Mako), was designed for fishing, not rescue. The new boat will feature locking compartments for EMS and other equipment, a landing craft bow, dive door and Davit lifting arm.
With the generous donations of the Lake Anna community, we can raise the community matching funds ($93,000) to help the county fund a replacement boat.
As a community we have already helped fund:
Physio Control LifePack and extrication equipment ($76,235)
Lucas Compression Device ($17,642)
Additional Medical Supplies ($5,000)
New Ambulance ($150,000)
Construction ($100,000)
Why do we continue raising funds? New Bridge Station is the first fire and rescue station funded by county funds ($2.3M). The other 7 stations were constructed through the generosity of the local communities. We are working with the Lake Anna community to follow the example of our neighbors by contributing to the apparatus and equipment costs.

It is our pleasure to accept a $5,000 grant from the BAMA Works Fund of the Dave Matthews Band. These funds have been directed for the purchase of equipment for the new ambulance for Station 8.
We are excited to announce the Foundation for Lake Anna Emergency Services received a $7,500 grant from Rappahanock Electric Cooperative The Power of Change! These funds will be applied to the purchase of a LUCAS compression device for the New Bridge Fire and Rescue Station ambulance.
It is through the generosity of the Rappahannock Electric Cooperative member-owners who round-up their electric bills through The Power of Change program, that the CARE Charity can award grants to non-profit charities. Together with this support we can do great things for our communities. For more information on The Power of Change please visit www.thepowerofchange.org.

Our amazing team of volunteers wirked with the Lake Anna community to raise the “seed money” to build the New Bridge Rescue Station. The Louisa County Board of Supervisors ultimately appropriated $2.3 million for a fire and rescue station that is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2023. Please donate now or contact us for more information.
The Foundation for Lake Anna Emergency Services was established in January 2020 for fundraising and soliciting contributions from individuals and businesses in the Lake Anna community for the purpose of donating funds collected to construct a public emergency services facility to serve the more than 2,300 homes and businesses at Lake Anna currently outside the 5-mile radius of any rescue station in Louisa County, Virginia. In spite of the pandemic, the Foundation and the Lake Anna community raised $100,000 in 5 months. The station has since been expanded to include fire and has been funded by the county. We are now trying to raise funds ($150,000) to match a grant the county has applied for to purchase a $300,000 ambulance.
In rural areas, EMS is your health care provider for the first hour of life-threatening events. Our initial mission was to raise $100,000 to be donated to Louisa County for the construction of the New Bridge Rescue EMS Station. Now that we have met that goal, we have a new mission to help purchase a new ambulance for the station (the ambulance currently being assigned is the county’s reserve ambulance).
