An air cascade system ($60,000) allows high volumes of breathing air to be stored in portable storage racks and on fire trucks to refill the firefighters’ self-contained breathing apparatus.
As a community we have already helped fund:
Fire and Rescue Boat ($108,000)
Ambulance Physio Control LifePack and extrication equipment ($76,235)
Ambulance Lucas Compression Device ($17,642)
Ambulance Medical Supplies ($5,000)
New Ambulance ($150,000)
Construction ($100,000)
Why do we continue raising funds? New Bridge Station is the first fire and rescue station funded by county funds ($2.3M). The other 7 stations were constructed through the generosity of the local communities. We are working with the Lake Anna community to follow the example of our neighbors by contributing to the apparatus and equipment costs.

Our amazing team of volunteers worked with the Lake Anna community to raise the “seed money” to build the New Bridge Rescue Station. The Louisa County Board of Supervisors ultimately appropriated $2.3 million for a fire and rescue station that became operational June 1, 2023. We continue to raise funds for vital equipment. Please donate now or contact us for more information.
The Foundation for Lake Anna Emergency Services was established in January 2020 for fundraising and soliciting contributions from individuals and businesses in the Lake Anna community for the purpose of donating funds collected to construct a public emergency services facility to serve the more than 2,300 homes and businesses at Lake Anna currently outside the 5-mile radius of any rescue station in Louisa County, Virginia. In spite of the pandemic, the Foundation and the Lake Anna community raised $100,000 in 5 months. An additional $400,000 has been raised for an ambulance, ambulance equipment and a fire and rescue boat.
In rural areas, EMS is your health care provider for the first hour of life-threatening events. Our initial mission was to raise $100,000 to be donated to Louisa County for the construction of the New Bridge Rescue EMS Station. Once we met that goal, the Lake Anna Community continued to support the need for equipment and supplies for Station 8.
